The students, from the Department of International Studies, will have the opportunity to explore coffee machines and the inner workings of a leading Italian manufacturer. The event will take place on November 18th, 2025, at VEA GROUP.

In response to the current lockdown in Shanghai, some companies are operating in “closed-loop” systems to ensure businesses can keep operations running. Closed loops put factory workers in bubbles, based on the same procedure used during the winter Olympics to prevent COVID spread. This procedure – for example – has been reportedly used inside the Shanghai Port area to maintain stable operations despite the spread of the pandemic.
