CICC Business Roundtable with Deloitte, Shanghai

On Wednesday, July 23rd, the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) had the pleasure of organizing, in collaboration with Deloitte Hong Kong, a Business Roundtable titled: “Global Trade Challenges and Opportunities: How to Compete in a Changing World.”

The event was kindly hosted by our Member company Pacific Prime Insurance at their Shanghai office, creating a professional yet dynamic environment for discussion and networking.

The event saw the participation of around 20 people and they were pleased to welcome two expert speakers from Deloitte:

• Francesco Vitali – International Tax Partner
• Riccardo Cima – Senior Consultant, Global Trade Advisor

The roundtable offered a comprehensive overview of the current landscape of international trade, with a special focus on:

• Recent developments in customs law
• Updates on U.S. tariffs
• Export controls and international sanctions
• The impact of protectionist trade policies on global business operations

The speakers also shared practical insights and strategies for Italian and international companies operating in China, emphasizing how to remain competitive in an increasingly complex and regulated global environment.

At the end of the discussion, Pacific Prime Insurance took the opportunity to briefly introduce their services and team to the audience, encouraging further exchange and collaboration among the companies present. It was a valuable moment to strengthen the sense of community and build meaningful business connections.
